What exactly IS Booksketch.com? Well, you first have to know what Burt is. Or, rather, who Burt is.

Cue dramatic music. Burton Durand is a designer & illustrator & pun specialist out of Lafayette, Louisiana who loves all sorts of literature. Not just the classics,
not solely sci-fi or fantasy or comedy. The whole gamut.
Even cookbooks.

Yeah, yeah, get on with it. Oh, right. Well, since Burt likes to read and draw, he figured that he could make a site
that would allow a person to draw what he or she reads.
In essence, "drawing from literature."

That's a pun, isn't it? Yes, but it's a conceptual one! If a particular character or scene strikes up your imagination, sketch away. Show everyone how you envision bits
and pieces of a novel in your noggin. Feel free to give comments and feedback to fellow Booksketchers, too!
